This Privacy Policy explains how Familimovie (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use familimovie.com and our photo-to-video montage service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and your Google account identifier. We use these to create and secure your account. We never receive or store your Google password.
- Content you provide. The photos, music, titles, and settings you upload or enter to create a montage, and the videos we generate for you.
- Information collected automatically. Basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and usage events. We use your IP address, for example, to apply rate limits and protect the Service from abuse.
How we use your information
- To authenticate you and provide the Service.
- To create, render, store, and let you download your montages.
- To show your projects on your account page so you can find and re-share them.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To respond to your requests and communicate with you.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Where required by law (for example, in the EEA/UK), our legal bases for processing are your consent, performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed to provide it:
- Google — sign-in / authentication.
- Vercel — website and application hosting.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — storage of your uploads and rendered videos (S3) and video rendering (Lambda).
- Neon — our PostgreSQL database, where account and project records are stored.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.
Where your data is processed
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. We retain your uploaded content, generated videos, and project records so you can access them on your account page, until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. We may retain limited information as needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can withdraw consent and stop using the Service at any time. To exercise these rights, or to request deletion of your account and data, contact us at privacy@familimovie.com.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. We do not use advertising cookies.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
